Marugame Miroc Brewery in Marugame, Kagawa, will hold a Tanabata event on Sunday, July 5, starting at 4:00 p.m. until the noodles run out. According to the brewery's Instagram post, the venue has traditionally set up Tanabata decorations each year, and this year it will add a summer-themed nagashi-somen offering. The noodles will be served free of charge while supplies last.

The brewery says guests are welcome to come in yukata or kimono, and families with children are also encouraged to join. The event is designed not only as a place to drink beer, but also as a seasonal gathering where visitors can share the atmosphere of Tanabata together. The mix of decorations, communal food, and a relaxed pub setting gives the event a distinctly local feel.

Miroc Brewery is a brewpub on Kitahirayama-cho in Marugame. Its official website describes it as a brewpub in Kagawa’s Marugame area and says the brewery aims to stay close to nature, using locally sourced ingredients where possible and serving beer with live yeast. Opening hours are Tuesday to Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with Mondays closed. The event reflects the brewery’s role as a neighborhood social space as well as a place for craft beer.
