Miroc Brewery to host its first sweets-themed in-house event

Miroc Brewery, a brewpub in Marugame, Kagawa, will host an in-house event on Sunday, June 28, from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. This month’s installment of the brewery’s regular event series is its first sweets-focused edition, created in collaboration with local patisserie Michikake Seikaten.

The highlight is a grown-up parfait built around the brewery’s own beers. According to the post, the team made an ice cream using Hannya, a jelly using Senpu, and even incorporated malt, one of beer’s raw ingredients, into the parfait components. The suggested pairings are, fittingly, Senpu and Hannya.

The lineup also includes a lunch plate with baked sweets from Michikake Seikaten, plus a limited number of take-home Hannya ice cream portions for customers arriving by car. It is a dessert event, but one clearly designed with alcohol in mind.

Miroc Brewery describes itself as a brewpub that combines a brewery and a pub in Marugame. On its official site, the brewery emphasizes a space that helps people “open their hearts” and enjoy craft beer alongside food. This sweets event follows that direction closely, turning beer and dessert into one shared experience.

For beer fans in Kagawa, it is a practical example of how a brewery can expand beyond pint service and into food-led programming, while still keeping beer at the center of the table.
