BEER HUNTING URAWA on Sunday, May 3, is packed with real ale and house brews
Kita-Urawa’s BEER HUNTING URAWA has published its business information and TAP list for Sunday, May 3, 14:00-23:30. This time, the lineup includes real ale poured from a hand-pump server, U.B.P BREWERY’s regular beers, and a selection of beers with distinct personalities from breweries across Japan. For craft beer fans, it’s a lineup whose differences become more enjoyable the more you drink.

In the real ale slot, Oni Densetsu’s Kin-Oni Pale Ale makes a fresh appearance. Unlike the usual serving method pushed out by gas pressure, a hand pump brings out a gentler mouthfeel and a different way the aroma rises. In addition, U.B.P BREWERY contributes a pilsner, an IPA, and a hazy double IPA, giving you a lineup centered on local Urawa beer.
The guest selections are broad as well. Shiga Kogen Beer brings a blonde ale, Ise Kadoya Beer a hazy SIPA, HOPDOG BREWING a saison, Minoh Beer a double IPA, Johana Beer a herb ale, and Brasserie Knot a honey ale plus an aged fruit IPA, making it easy to compare aroma, body, hop character, and aging-derived nuances. With such a wide spread in style from one glass to the next, this is a lineup that clearly shows the fun of tasting side by side.
The shop is a beer pub on the second floor within walking distance of the west exit of Kita-Urawa Station, making it easy to settle in and drink at a relaxed pace. The post also mentions a revised food menu, so you can enjoy it with Chicken Overhead and other recommended dishes. The craft beer bottle-shop corner is also operating, so there’s the convenience of not only having a drink in-house but also taking something home.
Since it stays open late on weekends, it works well both for starting to drink from daytime and for lingering over a meal. With its three-layer structure of real ale, house brews, and nationwide guest beers, May 3 looks like a day worth stopping by for beer.
