On May 22, PEDROLINO, a beer pub in Tanimachi 6-chome, Osaka, updated its tap list. The shop has 12 seats, mainly at the counter, and opens at 3 p.m. Centered on Italian a la carte dishes, it is a place that can be used for everything from an early drink to a full meal.

There were three beers on tap that day. Shiga Kogen Beer’s "From Scratch" is a blonde ale, OUR BREWING’s "Hoppy Hour Ver.Brewer's Blend" is a cold IPA, and CRAFTROCK BREWING’s "Tepache S.O.D" is a margarita gose; all were announced as running low. From a light, easygoing drinking style to tart, assertive styles, the lineup shows a wide range for pairing with food.

By the glass, the bar is also serving "Oude Lambiek 4years" from Belgium’s Oud Beersel. This is a beer for enjoying the mature character and acidic nuances typical of a straight lambic, and it should also bring a distinctive edge to food pairings. In addition, the stock beer list includes OUR BREWING’s "Dino King" (West Coast IPA) and Minoh Beer’s "Paparzaru Lager" (dark lager).

PEDROLINO is also known as a place where staff with backgrounds in specialty beer shops select the drinks, and it offers three draft craft beers and more than 30 bottled beers. From appetizers to pasta and main dishes, its appeal is that you can switch beers as you move through the meal. In the Tanimachi area, it is an easy spot to use on a day when you want to compare beers with different personalities alongside your food.
