Sakaduki Lab opens Heat Stroke on Aug. 28, a passion fruit and tequila ale
Sakaduki Lab in Adachi, Tokyo, will tap Heat Stroke on August 28. The seasonal beer uses passion fruit from the Ogasawara Islands and tequila, and the bar will also serve a sardine dish on the day.
Open on the last Friday of August
Sakaduki Lab in Adachi, Tokyo, opens at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 28. In its post, the bar says summer is almost over, but it is setting up a high-energy night with the debut of Heat Stroke, a passion fruit and tequila ale.
Heat Stroke is an annual release made with passion fruit shipped directly from farmers in the Ogasawara Islands. The 2026 version was planned by brewery staff member Hiro, who brought a former bartender's perspective to the recipe by adding tequila. The post also notes that the beer can be served with tonic water for a cleaner, sharper profile.
Food for the day
The kitchen is also featuring aji tataki with cucumber and gari. Aji is in season through around September, and the dish is built to highlight its richness with a light vinegar cure, fresh ginger, cucumber, and gari.
Notes
- No special August events remain
- The September opening calendar will be announced later
- Sister brewery Sakaduki Brewing is planning beer release and food-pairing days on September 6 and 12
As a neighborhood spot in Adachi, Sakaduki Lab pairs beer, sake, and a daily dish in a way that encourages drinking with food. This post fits that style: a late-summer release, seasonal fish, and a clear focus on what to drink tonight.
