Grau Craft beer bar, a craft beer pub in Fujimino, Saitama, is currently serving CAMADO’s Kawachi Bankan Sour, a Sour Ale made with Kawachi Bankan citrus.
According to the brewer’s note, the beer combines the clean acidity produced by sour yeast with floral aromas reminiscent of grapefruit and juicy citrus tartness. Part of the malt bill uses barley from Mizunami, Gifu, giving the beer a light, crisp body. Its pronounced acidity and refreshing character make it a natural choice for drinkers looking for a bright, easygoing sour beer.
The tap list also includes VERTERE’s Iris (Cold IPA), NAMACHAん × D and D’s NANA Brown Ale (Brown Ale), NAMACHAん’s Tsuyoki no Nama Hazy IPA (Hazy IPA), Yokohama Bay Brewing’s Saaz 419 (Czech-Style Pale Lager), and TEENAGE × AMAKUSA SONAR’s SONAR AID (Juicy IPA). NANA Brown Ale and SONAR AID were listed as nearly sold out.
The bar has also prepared chicken curry, specifically suggesting it as a pairing for the Kawachi Bankan Sour. The beer’s citrus aroma and acidity should offer an interesting contrast to the curry’s spices.
Upcoming taps announced in the post include BREWCCOLY’s Kuso Bakushu (Saison), INKHORN’s Titipounamu 2026 (New Zealand-style IPA), FLORA FERMENTATION’s FLORALIA IPA (Fresh Hop IPA), and NAMACHAん’s Namachan’s Oktoberfest (German-Style Märzen).
