New tap

Grandpa Fish & Chips in Kameido has added `JU-LOW` from Odawara Garage Brewing to its draft lineup. The post notes service on that day from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with last orders at 10:00 p.m., making it an easy stop for an after-work pint.

The bar

The shop was opened with the idea of helping East Tokyo’s craft beer scene feel a little more lively. Inside, it is a bright, approachable beer pub built around a single slab counter, and the draft selection focuses on four to five Japanese craft beers. Rather than chasing sheer volume, the appeal here is a compact, well-curated tap list that invites you to follow each change.

What to eat

As the name suggests, fish and chips are the signature dish. The batter uses herbs that work well with beer, and the fish is fried in olive oil, which helps keep it pleasant even as it cools. It is the kind of plate that fits both a casual first pint and a longer meal at the counter.

Why it matters

With `JU-LOW` on tap, the bar adds another reason for beer drinkers to pay attention to its lineup. In Kameido, this is a straightforward place to enjoy draft beer and a proper pub plate without losing the focus on either one.
