New Tap on April 29
At Golden Garden, a beer pub in Hiroshima City's Naka Ward, Shintenchi, Ise Kadoya Brewery's "Nikukyuu IPA" was newly tapped on April 29. In the post, it is introduced as a beer made to commemorate the brewery's 29th anniversary, and described as a dry, bitter West Coast IPA that pairs well with meat dishes.
Holiday Operations and the Atmosphere
Inside the shop, training for new staff is also progressing, and during Golden Week the opening and closing times change slightly from day to day in line with the business calendar. As you would expect from a craft beer bar, there is plenty of physically demanding work such as moving kegs, but the attitude comes through clearly: they want to keep the pub open as long as possible even during the holidays. In the center of Hiroshima, it has the easygoing atmosphere of a beer pub where you can casually enjoy beer and food.
Beers Available That Day
That day's lineup also continued happy hour pricing on draft beers from Golden Garden's own brand, HIROSHIMA NEIGHBORLY BREWING (HNB). The post noted that "HNB RED IPA" was down to the last few servings, and that the bottled beer "Rinki Sakura Hen" had also arrived in a small quantity.
Pairings with Food
The food menu is well stocked with snacks, including nikujaga, smoked potato salad, chicken skin simmered in miso, stir-fried minced chicken with bamboo shoots and green peppers, and buri daikon. In addition, soy-milk oyster hot pot, fried oysters, and hayashi rice are available, making it an easy stop not only for beer but also for a meal. Very much in Hiroshima style, it is a setup that lets you keep drinking IPA and collaboration beers while working in oyster dishes along the way.
