Egret Brewery, Himeji’s first craft brewery, will hold its 4th anniversary event on July 19 and 20. The new announcement says wine will be added at customer request, alongside an upgraded food menu.
Egret Brewery, located in Tomae, Himeji, opened in July 2022 as Himeji’s first craft brewery. The team, built around a bartender and a brewer, has focused on making beers that fit a wide range of occasions.
The latest announcement adds more detail to the brewery’s 4th anniversary celebration. The event will be held on Sunday, July 19 and Monday, July 20. In response to requests, wine will also be served, and the snack menu has been refreshed to match the occasion.
The food lineup is split by day:
- July 19: unagi rice bowl, liver soup, and pickled Japanese eggplant
- July 20: paella, Kobe beef roast beef, fermented tomato gazpacho, and escabeche with horse mackerel or sardines
The brewery’s name, Egret, refers to the white heron associated with Himeji Castle. For the brewery, the 4th anniversary is also a chance to highlight its local roots and the personality of its brewing style. For beer fans in Himeji, it should be a two-day event where beer, food, and now wine can all be enjoyed together.
