Chigasaki brewpub MacKenDy joins Kama to Taru Harvest Festival on Sept. 26-27
Chigasaki brewpub MacKenDy will join the Kama to Taru Harvest Festival at Terrace Mall Shonan on Sept. 26-27. Its lineup ranges from fruit-driven seasonal beers to classic styles, and its hot dogs are also a draw.
MacKenDy is a brewpub in Hamatake, Chigasaki. In the post, it is introduced as a neighborhood spot in the Tsujido area with a loyal following. The brewery's beers span a wide range, from seasonal fruit beers to more orthodox styles. Its signature hot dog also shows some care in the details: the bun is made from recycled brewing wort, and the sausage uses house-made meat from Shonan Miyaji pork.
At the Kama to Taru Harvest Festival, those strengths will be available in a major Shonan event setting. The festival will be held at Terrace Mall Shonan's Gate Square over two days, Sept. 26 and 27, alongside C Side Marche. Admission is free, but drinks are ticket-based, and visitors need either a pre-purchased original tumbler or a rented tumbler on site.
Because MacKenDy is the kind of place where food and beer sit close together, it should stand out even in a tasting-focused event. Choose a fruit-forward pour to feel the season, or go with a classic style to see the brewery's fundamentals. For anyone following Shonan craft beer, this is one exhibitor worth noting.
