Beer Stand Amberlond opens for daytime service today, 5/17; OZY and Star Watcher on tap
Beer Stand Amberlond in Honcho, Aoba Ward, Sendai announced daytime service opening at 1 p.m. on May 17. The lineup includes 10 draft beers from Japan and abroad, such as Black Tide Brewing's OZY and Be Easy Brewing's Tohoku 6 Hops HAZY IPA. Located close to the route for Aoba Festival, it can also be enjoyed together with lunch.
The beer pub "Beer Stand Amberlond" in Honcho, Aoba Ward, Sendai held daytime service with a 1 p.m. opening on May 17. In its post, it said lunch service would run until 4 p.m., followed by regular service after that, reflecting demand expected from the crowds for the Sendai Aoba Festival.
The draft lineup for the day featured 10 beers, including Kirin Beer Ichiban Shibori Premium, OZY from the collaboration between Black Tide Brewing and XLARGE, Be Easy Brewing's Tohoku 6 Hops HAZY IPA, as well as Dari Sudachi Wheat, Buddha Hands from DD4D Brewing, and Star Watcher from West Coast Brewing. Also on tap were 8bit Brewing / Brujos Brewing's Ludus Occult, Dieu du Ciel!'s Blanche du Paradis, Trillium Brewing Company's Fort Point IPA, and Weihenstephan's Vitus Weizenbock.
Lunch options consisted of three sets: the Towada Bara-yaki Set, the Amberlond Yaki Gyoza Set, and the Amberlond Fried Chicken Set. Each comes with barley rice, miso soup, ohitashi, and pickles, and no cover charge is applied from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. when ordering lunch. Beer-only visits are also welcome, and the location makes it easy to stop in for a breather on the way home from the festival. In Honcho, within walking distance of the Aoba Festival venue, it turned into a day to enjoy both a meal and draft beer.
