Fête Mishima Brewery in Mishima, Shizuoka Prefecture, has started taking preorders for its 3rd anniversary collaboration beer, "fête 三島3ê Anniversary Hoppy Belgian Blonde." Shipping is scheduled for early April 2026, and the price is 4,700 yen including tax.

This anniversary beer was brewed in collaboration with brewer Koike, who has been advising on brewing matters since the brewery's founding. The style is Belgian Blonde, and the malt bill uses Pilsen, Wheat malt light, Sour, and Munich malts. The hops are Aramis, Triskel, and Elixer, all sourced from France.

The ingredients include Numazu tea, malted barley, sugar, hops, rye, and white koji. It has an ABV of 7.5%, an IBU of 38, and an SRM of 3.4. The aroma is described as apple, lychee, licorice, pineapple, and spice, and the beer is designed to layer delicate bitterness and a gentle aroma over the sweetness derived from Belgian yeast. The brewing notes also reveal that rye was added for spiciness, and the owner's homemade candy sugar was used to give it more depth.

Fête Mishima Brewery is a small brewery that makes craft beer and fruit sparkling beverages using Mishima's water and ingredients from Izu. It is located behind the terrace of the French-inspired bistro "allez" in front of Mishima Station, and continues to make drinks meant to be enjoyed alongside local food. This anniversary beer, too, seems like a bottle that clearly reflects both its sense of place and the relationships between its makers.
