Sakura Taps opens Shirorosuzume's Kaeri Awaji, with eight drafts
Sakura Taps, the beer pub in Yokohama's Hanasaki-cho area, opened at 1 p.m. on June 20 with one new draft: Shirorosuzume's fruit ale 'Kaeri Awaji.' The lineup also includes Minoh Beer, Shiga Kogen Beer, and several collaborations for a total of eight taps.
Today's opening
Sakura Taps opened at 1 p.m. on June 20. The beer pub sits on the second floor in the Yoshidamachi Noraneko-dori area of Yokohama, making it a good stop for a slower Saturday drink.
The new draft is Shirorosuzume's fruit ale, 'Kaeri Awaji.' According to the post, it uses Natsutorange citrus and Awaji Island sea salt. The beer keeps the sweetness restrained, while soft fruit acidity, a touch of peel-like bitterness, and the salt character add depth. It sounds like a beer to sip carefully rather than crush on a hot day.
