Yamorido, a brewpub in Nakagakeyacho, Fushimi, Kyoto, will run its "7 anniversary week" from June 9 through June 14. During the event, a set of limited pairing dishes created for the anniversary will be served every day, letting guests enjoy food and beer side by side.

The special menu features seven dishes built around seafood, meat, and bread. Each plate is matched with a specific beer: flounder with red onion and plum-sesame oil is paired with "Tea Kabuki"; seared sagochi with white miso and sake-kasu sauce with "Chirin"; and fried soy-sauce pickled chicken wings with doubanjiang with "Tiger Kick." Other pairings include firefly squid with cream cheese and vinegar-miso with "Yamori Gold L," assorted savory breads with "Afternoon Stout," pork and lotus root tartine with miso-soy seasoning with "Flying Gecko," and a small hamburger with Japanese-style salsa with the yet-to-be-announced "7th Anniversary Beer."

The tap list also shows the character of the brewery clearly. House beers currently on tap include "Chirin / Weizen w/ kuromoji / Yamorido × NUDE," "Tiger Kick / West Coast IPA," "Yamori Gold L / Golden Ale," "Afternoon Stout / Oatmeal Coffee Stout," and "Flying Gecko / Amber Ale." Collaboration and guest beers listed are "Amber Drops / NUDE × Yamorido" and "Neko ni Hiki / Ise Kadoya." It is a lineup that lets visitors move between food-led pairings and straightforward beer tasting in one visit.

Opening hours are Tuesday through Sunday, 11:00-22:00, and reservations are recommended for parties of three or more. If you are planning a beer stop in Kyoto, this anniversary week is worth checking for both the food menu and the taps.
