Aomori Brew Pub in Aomori City has introduced “Oirase,” the 16th beer in its popular MagicSpell series. Brewed in the saison style, the beer has an alcohol content of 5.5%.

The recipe uses pilsner malt and wheat malt as its base, with rye added for extra complexity. Saison yeast brings a spicy character, while the rye contributes a layered, pleasant spice note.

The hop bill features Freestyle Pacifica, known for delicate orange-like spice and floral aromas, together with Southern Cross. The resulting profile is dry and fruity, with a gentle spiciness that remains in the finish.

“Oirase” is suited to the transition from late summer into autumn, when a beer with both freshness and depth can be enjoyed slowly. Aomori Brew Pub is located on the second floor of Gareth Building in Yasugata, near Aomori Station, and offers a relaxed setting for enjoying craft beer with food.

The brewery’s post also suggests enjoying the beer at home. With its crisp saison character, subtle rye complexity, and expressive hop aroma, “Oirase” offers a thoughtful interpretation of a seasonal craft beer.
