Featured pour

The main draw for the day is `Kind of Gold Real Ale Ver`, a collaboration IPA from Shiga Kogen Beer, Dogfish Head, and Oxbow. It was brewed earlier this year by Sam Calagione of Dogfish Head and Tim from Oxbow, together with Shiga Kogen. The beer uses Carolina Gold rice and wildflower honey, and the description points to a large Japanese citrus impression, similar to hassaku, with strong hop character and a dry finish. In Real Ale form, it is said to keep a soft, rounded texture as well.

The recommended beer is `Broken Record / Embolden`, a more classic-leaning West Coast IPA with a light body and clear citrus and fruit notes from Nelson and Mosaic hops.
