A local brewery joins a community-focused festival

Head for Heda 2026 will take place at Mihama Cape Park in Heda, Numazu, on October 10, 2026. The event’s theme is “A day to gather in Heda and think about the future of Heda.” Surrounded by mountains and opening toward the sea, Heda is known for its distinctive natural setting and warm fishing-town culture.

REPUBREW, a brewery based in the Numazu area, will participate in the event. The brewery will provide and sell draft craft beer. The source article does not specify individual beer names, styles, or ABV, but visitors can expect fresh beer served from kegs in an open seaside setting.

Draft beer by the sea

The event is scheduled to run from 11:00 to 22:00. Visitors can enjoy REPUBREW’s beer while taking in the clear autumn air and views around Mihama Cape Park. The event is planned to proceed in light rain, while severe weather may lead to a reduced-scale program.

REPUBREW is also known for Slider House 24taps in Mishima, a beer pub near Mishima Station offering a rotating selection across 24 taps alongside sliders. At Head for Heda 2026, the brewery’s beer experience moves from the pub to the coast, giving visitors a different way to connect with the local brewery.

The venue is Mihama Cape Park, 3085-21 Heda, Numazu, Shizuoka. Updates on the timetable and participating vendors will be posted on the official Instagram account, @headforheda. For craft beer fans visiting the Izu area, the festival offers an opportunity to explore Heda while enjoying a locally brewed draft pour.
