Motoyamacho Brewery to join Sannomaru BEER GROOVE in Mito, June 26-28
Motoyamacho Brewery said it will take part in Sannomaru BEER GROOVE at Ibaraki Prefectural Sannomaru Government Office Plaza. The event runs from June 26 to 28 and will bring together 17 craft breweries from Ibaraki, along with food vendors. The post also shared a venue check and a note about the beerstand.
Motoyamacho Brewery is a small craft brewery tucked away in an alley in Motoyamacho, Mito, Ibaraki, with its own taproom, Motoyamacho Beerstand, next door. In this Instagram post, the brewery shared preparations for Sannomaru BEER GROOVE.
The venue is Ibaraki Prefectural Sannomaru Government Office Plaza. According to the post, committee members checked the loading route, tent placement, temporary structures, and the overall flow of the site. The brewery also highlighted the green surroundings, the shaded lawn, and the classic former prefectural office building often used for film and TV shoots.
The event is set for June 26-28, with 17 craft breweries from across Ibaraki and a lineup of food vendors. That makes it a beer-and-food gathering rooted in local breweries rather than a one-off showcase. Motoyamacho also thanked guests who came to the beerstand on Friday despite its short opening hours, which reinforces the brewery's role as a neighborhood taproom.
The post also included practical notes for the beerstand: keep voices down in the residential area, do not smoke inside or around the property, do not serve beer to drivers, and use a designated driver if needed. For cyclists, the brewery asks guests to walk their bikes home after drinking. It is a reminder that the brewery is building a beer culture that fits its neighborhood as much as its event schedule.
