Extra Hop in Oita taps DevilCraft Brewery’s afterglow and Falò’s Cold Pale Ale
Craft beer Extra Hop in Oita’s Chuo-machi district has announced a new guest-beer lineup. DevilCraft Brewery’s limited IPA afterglow and Falò’s Cold Pale Ale are now on tap, offering two beers that fit well with an after-work stop.
Craft beer Extra Hop, a beer pub on the first floor of the Okuno Hosomichi Building in Oita’s Chuo-machi area, has updated its guest-beer lineup. On tap are DevilCraft Brewery’s limited IPA afterglow and Falò’s Cold Pale Ale. The bar focuses on a curated selection of domestic and imported craft beer, and on this day it is serving beer only, with the owner away. Service starts at 5:30 p.m., making it an easy stop for an after-work pint.
afterglow is described as a West Coast IPA driven by Krush hops. It brings a fruity hop aroma and a clean, crisp bitterness without lingering sweetness. The beer is framed as a solid choice for late-summer drinking, thanks to its clear finish and strong hop character.
Falò’s Cold Pale Ale takes a lighter approach. It keeps the hop presence expected from a pale ale, but the mouthfeel is brisk and easygoing, which makes it a good first beer of the evening. The post also notes that it was meant to pair with the week’s limited somen champuru, so the lineup looks especially food-friendly.
With a few more kegs reportedly close to being kicked, Extra Hop’s tap list still has room to move. For drinkers tracking what is pouring right now in Oita, this is the kind of bar that rewards a quick check-in and a spontaneous second round.
