OUR DAYs Brewery & Club house in Sasazuka introduced "Mikan Ale #3" in an Instagram post on March 28. The recipe is 5.0% ABV with 15 IBU, using Hallertau Blanc for the hops and Unshu mikan as a secondary ingredient. The design keeps the hop character restrained while putting the aroma and fruitiness of the mikan front and center.

In the post, the beer is described as having "a gently spreading mikan aroma" and "a soft sweetness with a faintly nostalgic finish." It is light on the palate and easy to drink without fatigue. As an ale aimed at bringing out the natural deliciousness of the fruit, it seems well suited both with meals and on its own.

OUR DAYs Brewery & Club house is a small taproom and brewpub located past the shopping street from Sasazuka Station. On the first floor, six to seven kinds of original beer are on tap, along with simple snacks. On weekends, the second-floor Clubhouse opens, offering special dishes available only that day. Another draw is being able to casually enjoy freshly brewed beer in the atmosphere of a place where local people gather. That relaxed, neighborhood feel is part of what makes the shop distinctive.

It will likely catch the eye not only of fruit-beer fans, but also of anyone looking for a bright, aromatic pint. In Sasazuka, you can find a limited-edition ale wrapped in the soft fragrance of mikan.
