Golden Rabbit Beer will hold its Fresh Hop Harvest Experience in two sessions, on Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, July 5. The venue is the taproom in Nara City, and both sessions run from 10:00 a.m. to around 1:00 p.m. The participation fee is 6,000 yen for adults and 1,500 yen for children.

The highlight of this event is that the hops harvested on the day will be used to brew that year's fresh hop beer. There is a bonus of one free glass of the finished beer later, creating a structure that connects the harvest experience with the drink that follows. On the day of the event, two kinds of beer and light food will also be provided after the hop harvest.

Golden Rabbit Beer is a brewery that emphasizes making craft beer that makes use of Nara's ingredients, and it has a taproom in Naramachi, Higashiterabayashicho, Nara City. The brewery is located beneath the taproom, and being able to enjoy freshly brewed beer is one of its features. This hands-on experience, where participants can touch the hops at the venue and learn about the process that leads to brewing, is also noteworthy for those who want to savor the seasonality behind beer.

If you are considering joining, the organizers advise bringing clothes and shoes you don't mind getting dirty, a hat, a towel, work gloves, scissors, something to drink, insect repellent, and heatstroke-prevention gear. Each day is limited to about 10 participants, and registration closes once capacity is reached.
