BEER HUNTING URAWA switches to lemon sour service on April 1; Onmenbroy and SNOW MONKEY IPA nearly gone
The beer pub BEER HUNTING URAWA in Kitaurawa will switch on April 1 to a service centered on lemon sours, offering a drink made with freshly harvested, non-wax lemons from Triangle Island in Hiroshima Prefecture. Baeren Brewery's Onmenbroy and Shiga Kogen Beer’s SNOW MONKEY IPA were also announced as nearly sold out.
The beer pub "BEER HUNTING URAWA" in Kitaurawa will be open on Wednesday, April 1, from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Food last order is 10:00 p.m., and drink last order is 10:30 p.m. In the post, as an April Fool's project, they played on the shop's name and prominently featured drinks made with freshly harvested, non-wax lemons from Triangle Island, a remote island in Hiroshima Prefecture.
This day's lemon sours line up with clearly different flavor directions:
- Fresh Lemon Sour
- Honey Lemon Sour
- Salt Lemon Sour
- Spice Lemon Sour
- Lemon Tea Sour
- Vaisu Lemon Sour
- Oni-oroshi Lemon Sour
They range from basic tartness to honey sweetness, and to versions sharpened with salt or spice, making for a lineup that's easy to compare side by side.
What beer fans should not miss is the two brews introduced in the post as "nearly sold out." One is Baeren Brewery's Onmenbroy, and the other is Shiga Kogen Beer’s SNOW MONKEY IPA. Both were announced as close to being finished off, giving people a reason to stop by and try the last pour even during a normal beer pub service.
BEER HUNTING URAWA is a beer pub on the second floor in Kitaurawa, Urawa Ward, Saitama City. The post also mentions that the menu is being expanded as it moves toward becoming a craft tavern, so in addition to beer, guests can also enjoy foods such as cloudy sour drinks and shumai. On April 1, it looks set to be a day where you can taste the variety of lemon sours and the small remaining stock of craft beer at the same time.
