Hakuraku Mökki is a beer pub located inside the shopping arcade in Rokkakubashi, Kanagawa Ward, Yokohama. Known as a casual place where you can enjoy craft beer and spice-driven dishes in a calm space lined with vintage furniture, it has a cozy interior, but that also makes each glass leave a stronger impression. Combined with the atmosphere of the shopping street, its appeal is that you can spend time there without putting on airs.

In this Instagram post, the shop said that after the previous night brought in so many customers that some items sold out, it had increased its prep and was once again encouraging people to visit. The spice curry for the day was B Curry, a rou-lou-style curry. It was introduced as a dish that emphasizes a faint sweetness and the aroma of Taiwanese-style spices, evoking the feel of lu rou fan. The limited menu also included house-made kin-mu kimchi with green onion and raw wood ear mushroom, Okinawan-style nankotsu soki, firefly squid achar, eggplant achar, enoki achar, black truffle salami, and garlic sausage, offering a wide range of options as beer companions.

The featured draft change was Totopia's Kodamaphobia. It was presented as a DDH DIPA, and the post highlighted it as a fresh-tasting example of a domestic hazy beer powerhouse. In addition, the taps also included a punchy bitter IPA, a saison with grape-like nuances, a hazy suited to pairing with food, and pale ale styles. Rather than focusing on a long list of specific labels, the lineup offered a balance of bitterness, fruitiness, and drinkability, making it easy to keep drinking alongside the food.

That day, the pub announced it would be open until 11 p.m. and said the evening would be staffed by three people. The post conveyed an operating style that felt distinctly Hakuraku Mökki: a place near Hakuraku Station where craft beer is the center, but spice dishes and achar make it easy to enjoy each drink on its own terms.
