Oyokobo Brewery to Debut Tomato & Jasmine Ale at Keyaki Hiroba
Nagoya-based Oyokobo Brewery will unveil “En Tomato & Jasmine Ale” for the first time at the 2026 Keyaki Hiroba Autumn Beer Festival. The beer is made with tomatoes grown at Pokapoka Works, a welfare facility supporting people with disabilities.
A first reveal at Keyaki Hiroba
Oyokobo Brewery will participate in the 2026 Keyaki Hiroba Autumn Beer Festival from September 17 through September 21, 2026, at the outdoor Keyaki Hiroba venue in Saitama Shintoshin. Admission is free. The brewery will use the event to present its new beer, “En Tomato & Jasmine Ale,” to the public for the first time.
The beer was born from the brewery’s crowdfunding project. Its tomatoes are grown with care at Pokapoka Works, a welfare facility supporting people with disabilities. After receiving support from many contributors, the project has now taken shape as a beer that drinkers can experience at the festival.
Tomato flavor meets jasmine aroma
As its name suggests, the beer combines tomato flavor with the aroma of jasmine. The brewery has not announced details such as the alcohol content, tomato quantity, brewing process, or serving size. At this stage, its character is described simply as a beer featuring tomato notes and jasmine fragrance.
That combination should make the beer an interesting point of comparison for craft beer fans. The freshness and acidity associated with tomatoes may meet the floral character of jasmine, while malt and hops provide the beer’s underlying structure. The festival offers an opportunity to discover the balance directly from the glass.
Connecting brewing, farming, and welfare
Oyokobo Brewery is a craft beer brand operated by Bride To Be, a company that also runs wedding venues. Its team includes professional chefs and sommeliers, and the brewery develops beers intended to complement food and different moments of everyday life. Its regular lineup includes pale ale, pilsner, weizen, and double IPA.
“En” represents more than a new product. It is also an example of collaboration between agriculture, welfare, and the local community. Visitors to Keyaki Hiroba will be able to taste the tomato and jasmine beer alongside Oyokobo’s regular beers. The brewery also plans to serve hitsumabushi-style grilled eel, a Nagoya specialty prepared by its French chef team.
