Oyoroko Brewery, based in Mizuho Ward, Nagoya, posted an update on Instagram about its crowdfunding campaign. In the post, the brewery said it had reached 96% of its goal with 12 days left, and thanked everyone who has supported the project so far.

This is the brewery’s third crowdfunding campaign. The project aims to make a craft beer using tomatoes grown by people with disabilities and to help expand jobs and income opportunities. According to the brewery’s official website, 15% of the funds will be passed on to a disability employment support facility, with the goal of improving its equipment so the harvest can continue sustainably.

Brewing has already started on Un Tomato & Jasmine Ale. The post says the brewery wants this beer to connect people, create new work and smiles, and spread a broader sense of joy through the community. Oyoroko Brewery is a craft beer brand operated by Bride to Be, a company that runs wedding venues, and it is known for beers designed around four everyday moments of celebration.

The campaign runs until August 31. In its final stretch, the project is drawing attention as a local effort linking beer, welfare, and agriculture.
