NEIGHBOR in Nogata posts an eight-beer tap list
NEIGHBOR, a beer pub in Nogata, Tokyo, shared its latest tap list on August 21. Eight beers are currently on draft, ranging from collab releases to styles that show a broad range of flavor. The bar also serves lunch, so the lineup is set up for daytime drinking with pasta or burgers.
Today’s on Tap
- NEIGHBOR×VERTERE Pyracantha / NZ Pale Ale (5.5%)
- Kyoto Brewing Share / Extra Special Bitter edition / ESB (5.5%)
- PAINT PALETTE BREWING Rain Afterglow / Farmhouse Ale with ginger, red shiso, and amanatsu peel
- Nara Brewing ENNUI / Brown Ale with azuki and condensed milk (7%)
- AND BEER Black Swallow / Oatmeal Stout (4.6%)
- NUDE BEER AMATSUKAZE / West Coast Lager with Kitayama cedar (4.5%)
- FLORA FERMENTATION Witte Wieven / White IPA (7%)
- NEIGHBOR×CYCADBREWING HOT BLOOD IPA / West Coast IPA (7.5%)
Two collabs stand out in particular: NEIGHBOR×VERTERE Pyracantha and NEIGHBOR×CYCADBREWING HOT BLOOD IPA. The first is a NZ Pale Ale, while the second is a West Coast IPA, making them a natural pair for hop-focused tasting. The rest of the list spans ESB, farmhouse ale, brown ale, stout, lager, and white IPA, so the draft board covers a wide range of drinking moods.
Food news is also part of the post. From August 24 to 27, the Weekly Burger returns with an apple gorgonzola cheeseburger. NEIGHBOR says it is served with cooked apple and gorgonzola cheese sauce, and Galipette cider from France is also available. That makes the sweet-and-salty pairing easy to try alongside the beer list.
Other recommended foods include charcoal-grilled corn, a genovese salt dog, fig calpas, and salmon with fried eggplant tomato pasta. It is the kind of place that works well when you want a relaxed meal and a solid beer lineup in Nogata.
