TAP ROOM 99 in Fujimi, Chuo Ward, Chiba, will hold its 2nd anniversary event from September 4 to 6. As KANKIKU BREWERY’s direct taproom, the highlight is the limited 99 HOPPY LAGER, described as a commemorative version built on the regular 99 LAGER, pairing lager drinkability with a brighter hop aroma.

During the event, all craft beer will be priced at 550 yen. The program also includes six anniversary-only food items, a gacha prize draw for guests who order the limited food, a talk by head brewer Kazuhiko Matsuo at 9:00 p.m. on September 5, a winner-takes-all rock-paper-scissors contest, and original sticker giveaways. It is designed as more than a drinking event, with opportunities to hear directly from the brewer.

For food, seasonal September items will run from September 1 to 30: an "autumn feast" hot salad, fig fritters with Jamón Serrano, and maitake mushroom and spinach mentaiko pizza. These items will be paused during the anniversary event, so visitors who want to focus on the food should aim for dates before or after the celebration.

The venue has a calm, adult-friendly feel, with 12 taps at the counter and sofa seating. Its appeal lies in pairing brewery-fresh beer with dishes made from Chiba ingredients. With easy access from Chiba and Chiba-Chuo stations, the event should work well for both a casual after-work pint and a small group outing.
