Beerbar Festa Shimokitazawa taps Burnt Mill Fog and Nomcraft Dinosaur Zoo
On Wednesday, July 1, Beerbar Festa Shimokitazawa tapped Burnt Mill “Fog” from the UK and Nomcraft “Dinosaur Zoo” from Wakayama, adding to a rotating lineup that spans Japan and overseas.
Tap update for July 1
On Wednesday, July 1, Beerbar Festa Shimokitazawa opened at 6:00 p.m. The beer pub sits on the 5th floor of a building near Shimokitazawa Station, and with a late weekday closing time it works well for a post-work stop or a long night out. Darts are available in the back of the shop, so the space is set up for both drinking and lingering.
Two new beers were added to the boards. Burnt Mill’s “Fog” is described as a hazy pale ale with a soft mouthfeel and a dry finish. Nomcraft’s “Dinosaur Zoo” is a DIPA that keeps plenty of volume while still going down smoothly. Both are the kind of beers that reward a second pint without feeling heavy.
The rest of the lineup covers a wide range: Setouchi “Apricot Weizen,” Nomcraft “No War,” T.Y. Harbor “Kanpai West Coast Pilsner,” and Hansharo Beer “Coco Farm & Winery White” with only a few left. Overseas taps include Knee Deep “Folsom Haze,” Left Hand “Milk Stout” with only a few left, DDC! “Petit Moral” with only a few left, and DDC! “Rosée d’Hibiscus.” Heartland is also available as the regular beer, giving the bar a mix of familiar staples and rotating craft options.
For drinkers who like to follow a changing tap list, this is a spot worth checking in on regularly. Beer, food, and darts come together in a way that fits Shimokitazawa’s casual late-night pace.
