At Craft beer bar & bottle shop BOCCA in Takasaki, Gunma, Teenage Brewing’s support beer `Sonar Aid` is on draft. BOCCA combines a beer pub and a bottle shop, so it works both as a place to drink on-site and as a stop for browsing bottles.

`Sonar Aid` was created to support `AMAKUSA SONAR BEER`, a brewery affected by the Kumamoto earthquake. It is a `Juicy IPA` at `7.0% ABV`, and every 350 ml equivalent served contributes `150 yen` toward the brewery’s recovery and rebuilding fund. In other words, the beer itself is the mechanism for support.

BOCCA says the pour is linked to a half tap takeover for AMAKUSA SONAR BEER. The post also notes that orders from inside the prefecture have been paused, which gives the release more context than a standard tap update.

For beer fans in Takasaki, BOCCA is a natural fit: a pub for a proper glass, and a bottle shop for a broader look at what’s on the market. `Sonar Aid` is the kind of release that makes the reason to visit as interesting as the pour itself.
