A harvest festival centered on fresh Fuji-grown hops
Harumi Beer Brewery in Tokyo’s Chuo Ward is hosting a harvest festival celebrating hops grown under contract in the foothills of Mount Fuji.
The highlight is a limited beer brewed with hops harvested during the summer of 2026. By using fresh hops soon after harvest, the beer captures a seasonal character distinct from beers made with conventionally dried and processed hops. The special beer is available at a special weekday price through October 30. The brewery has not publicly stated the exact price in the announcement, so visitors may wish to check availability and pricing before visiting.
Located inside Shibataya Saketen Harumi, Harumi Beer Brewery produces its own craft beer on site. According to the brewery’s official website, the tap selection includes eight beers that change with the seasons, while guests can also view the brewing equipment and parts of the brewing process. The venue serves hearty food designed to pair with drinks, as well as more than 300 imported wines.
The brewery is located at 5-6-3 Harumi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo, about a 15-minute walk from Kachidoki Station on the Toei Oedo Line. With service from lunch through dinner, it is suited to a weekday meal or an after-work beer. For beer lovers interested in the connection between agriculture and brewing, the festival offers a chance to taste this year’s Fuji-grown hops in a limited seasonal release.
