The craft beer pub craft beer Extra Hop, on the first floor of the Okuno Hosomichi Building in central Oita, posted its latest keg update on Instagram on August 26. The bar focuses on carefully selected craft beers from Japan and abroad, and on this day it was serving beer only because the owner was away. Service starts at 5:30 p.m. for an after-work pint.

The featured new keg was DevilCraft Brewery's limited IPA afterglow. The bar described it as a West Coast IPA that brings out the character of Krush hops, with fruity hop aroma and a clean, pleasant bitterness. It sounds like a straightforward late-summer pour with enough aroma to stay interesting.

The post also pointed to the Faló cold pale ale tapped the day before. It was framed as a light first drink for extreme heat, and as a good match with this week's limited food, somen champuru. The bar said about three more kegs are close to being kicked, so the lineup should keep moving. The next lunch service is scheduled for Friday, August 28, with SHIHO working solo, so service may take a little longer.
