Anton Beer Roppongi Uncorks 10 Drafts: DDH WC IPA and Hard Tea Too
CRAFT BEER Anton Beer Roppongi (Ryudocho branch) has released its draft lineup for April 1. The selection adds cider and hard tea to Japanese and overseas craft beer, and its weekday 5 p.m. opening makes it easy to stop by.
At CRAFT BEER Anton Beer Roppongi (5-1-5 Roppongi, Minato-ku, Tokyo, B1F), located underground in Tokyo's Roppongi, the draft lineup for April 1 was announced. On weekdays, the bar is open from 17:00 to 24:00, making it easy to drop in after work. Food last orders are at 23:00, and drinks are served until 23:30, so it also works for a late-night pint.
A total of 10 beers and drinks are on tap that day. From Japanese breweries, Minoh's "Nice na Bitter", Onidensetsu's "Aooni Pilsner", Ise Kadoya's "Boosted Hazy IPA", Black Tide's "Tea Time", and Swan Lake's "Miel Blanc" are featured. Overseas offerings include Smog City's "Kampai! From Torrance", Trademark's "Ocean Thunder", and Parrotdog's "Birdseye", giving the lineup a solid spread of IPAs and hazy styles.
Beyond beer, OK, ADAM's "Origin" appears as a cider, and DDC!'s "Solstice d'Ete Cerises" is listed as a cherry Belgian white. In addition, Black Tide's "Tea Time" is on tap as a hard tea. While the focus is on hop-forward IPAs, the lineup also offers acidity, fruitiness, and a light, easy-drinking feel.
Even in Roppongi, the appeal here is that you can casually compare multiple styles without putting on airs. It is easy to start with a lighter cider or pilsner, then move on to Hazy IPA or DDH WC IPA for the second round and beyond. On the night of April 1, this is the kind of place worth visiting for a well-balanced tap list.
