Miyakoji Hop Garden Brewery, based in Tamura, Fukushima Prefecture, is opening a booth at Tsuruga Castle Kaikan on Sunday, April 12. In a post, the brewery announced business hours of 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and said sales will take place at the liquor corner deep inside the building. In springtime Aizu, when tourist traffic is increasing, this offers visitors a chance to pick up beer from a local brewery.

The brewery was launched in 2020 after renovating Green Park Miyakoji, and is notable for handling everything from hop cultivation to beer making. Grounded in craftsmanship tied to the land of Tamura City in Fukushima, it has developed craft beers that make the most of hops.

At this pop-up, the limited-edition "Sakura SAKELager" is also on sale. According to the post, the booth has been arranged in a Japanese style to match the atmosphere of the castle grounds, and the building was lively from early morning with visitors coming for cherry-blossom sightseeing. Since this weekend may be the last peak of the cherry blossoms, the brewery is encouraging people passing nearby to stop in.

This pop-up, which can be enjoyed alongside Aizu's spring scenery, is an opportunity to experience the intersection of tourism and craft beer firsthand. Including the limited label, it is worth seeing which pour you can find on site.
