Sakaduki Lab in Kitasenju to host an O-Bon summer festival week from Aug. 12
Sakaduki Lab in Adachi, Tokyo, will hold an “O-Bon Summer Festival Week” from Aug. 12 to 16. The lineup includes all-you-can-eat nagashi somen, festival-style dishes, and ice-cold Sapporo Black Label bottles served in a chilled setting.
Five days for O-Bon
Sakaduki Lab will run its “O-Bon Summer Festival Week” from Aug. 12 through Aug. 16. On the opening day, Aug. 12, the venue will open at 5:00 p.m., bringing a festival mood into its Kitasenju space in Adachi, Tokyo.
Nagashi somen and ice-cold beer
The main draw is nagashi somen. Guests who order a dipping broth can enjoy unlimited somen. Several broths are planned, including a classic bonito-and-pork double-stock broth with chilled shabu pork, a warm Vietnamese-style beef broth with cilantro, plus chicken-and-plum, grilled mackerel and chilled-jiru-style, and hand-wing red chicken curry versions.
For beer, the bar will serve bottle Sapporo Black Label chilled in a festival-style bucket. The glasses will also be frozen, and each bottle order comes with one chance in a raffle while supplies last.
Festival food and the sister brewery
The food menu includes items such as chilled wagyu with peppers in XO sauce and grilled beef skirt steak skewers with garlic. The concept is built around summer-night festival vibes and pairings that work well with beer.
At sister brewery Sakaduki Brewing, a renewed version of the West Coast IPA "Summer Shower" is set to appear on Aug. 12, alongside food pairing service. The week ties together festival food and craft beer in one place.
