A rice beer with a bright, dry finish

BEER CAFE GAMBRINUS in Kokubunji, Tokyo, has added KANKIKUBREWERY’s Inasaku Chushin #4 to its tap lineup. The beer has an ABV of 4.0% and is brewed with rice grown in Chiba Prefecture. Its profile is described as having aromas reminiscent of white grapes and tropical fruit, followed by a refreshing, dry finish.

Its lower alcohol content and light, easy-drinking character make it a natural choice for pairing with food or enjoying over a longer visit. Rather than relying solely on intense hop expression, the beer highlights a lighter texture and the character of locally sourced rice.

The current taps also include Fusano Mai Lager and RICE ALE, both made with Japanese rice from Chiba. Tasting them alongside Inasaku Chushin #4 offers a chance to compare the differences between a lager, an ale, and a beer from the Inasaku Chushin series.

Located on the sixth floor of a building in Minamicho, near Kokubunji Station, Gambrinus is a beer pub focused on craft beer. It suits both a casual after-work pint and a focused tasting across several taps. Availability may change, so guests should check with the venue before visiting.
