The beer on tap

The new tap is Butterfly Brewery from Kasugai, Aichi, with its collaboration beer Sugiyama Women's University Collaboration Peach HAZY IPA. On the brewery's official product page, it is introduced as the result of a project created together with students from Sugiyama Women's University. The beer uses peaches grown in Toyota, is brewed in Kasugai, comes in 330 ml bottles, and has an ABV of 6.0%. It is described as a hazy IPA with a cloudy appearance, and the project also highlights cooperation with local farmers and efforts to reduce food waste.

Why this tap stands out

Tsumugi's Instagram feed regularly features rotating guest beers from breweries across Japan. This release combines a university collaboration, peach use, and the Hazy IPA style, giving it a clear story beyond the tap list. For visitors in Minami-Kashiwa, it is a good example of how the shop brings limited Japanese craft beers into a relaxed neighborhood setting. If you are interested in collaboration brews or fruit-forward hazies, this is one to catch while it is available.
