Joynt Brewing to Hold a Last-Minute Kimono × Beer × Music Event on March 20
Joynt Brewing in Ito, Shizuoka, will host a special event themed "kimono × beer × music" on March 20 (holiday). The plan came together at short notice after a visit from a Tokyo kimono circle, and it is a Spring Equinox Day social gathering open to people in kimono or everyday clothes.
Shizuoka-based Joynt Brewing Co. announced in a post at 21:42 on March 10, 2026 that it will hold a Spring Equinox Day event.
On March 20 in Ito: "Beer in Kimono"
According to the post, the event will be held on March 20 (holiday). The venue will be Joynt Brewing Co., and the event will take place with cooperation from a kimono circle visiting from Tokyo and Kimono Crossroad.
Participation conditions for the day are broad:
- attending in kimono or a haori jacket
- coming just to look at the kimono outfits
- attending in everyday clothes
All are welcome. Centered on craft beer, it looks set to be a relaxed space where fashion and culture gently intersect.
Live piano by YURI
On the music side, YURI will perform on piano. The program introduces live renditions of spring-themed songs, ranging from Showa-era pop to Western music. Enjoying music with a beer in hand, at close range in a taproom, is part of the appeal.
A Joynt Brewing-style "space for mixing"
Joynt Brewing is a brewery that has continuously created events in Ito's seaside area where locals and visitors mingle. This kimono-themed project also clearly reflects the brewery's approach of connecting people and culture through craft beer.
For anyone looking for a taproom experience that does more than just "drink," a glass on the Spring Equinox Day looks set to become a time that lingers in the memory a little longer.
