North Island Beer to Exhibit at Osaka Takashimaya's "Early Summer Hokkaido Fair" from April 22
North Island Beer will be exhibiting at Osaka Takashimaya's "Early Summer Hokkaido Fair" from April 22 to May 6. At the venue, visitors can compare draft beers from breweries across Hokkaido, and North Island Beer will sell its five standard bottled beers.
North Island Beer from Ebetsu, Hokkaido, will appear at Osaka Takashimaya's "Early Summer Hokkaido Fair." The brewery announced on Instagram that it will be exhibiting from April 22 to May 6, and said that in addition to North Island Beer, visitors will be able to compare draft beers from breweries throughout Hokkaido at the venue.
North Island Beer is a brewery started by brewers who trained in Canada. On its official website, the brewery says it makes five standard beers as well as limited and seasonal releases, and promotes distinctive craft beer from Hokkaido under the slogan "Beer is Art." Its lineup also includes beers that make use of local ingredients, such as a Weissbier made with wheat from Ebetsu and limited brews using Hokkaido-grown hops.
There will be no staff stationed at the event this time, but the bottled beer lineup will include the five standard varieties sold continuously. The venue is Osaka Takashimaya at 5-1-5 Namba, Chuo-ku, Osaka. It is a chance to enjoy the flavors of Hokkaido in Osaka, and the exhibit conveys both the enjoyment of tasting beers side by side, as is fitting for a department store event, and the craft-oriented character of an Ebetsu brewery.
