On Tap

At the brewpub “NAMACHA'n Stand Kita-Ikebukuro” in Ikebukuro Honcho, Toshima Ward, Tokyo, the guest beer lineup has been refreshed. The highlight this time is “Disk Echo” from Saitama’s “Teenage Brewing.” It is the brewery’s first imperial stout, a coffee-infused beer with 11.0% ABV.

The post also notes that this beer is the second collaboration with “ONIW COFFEE,” run by Takaaki Mino, guitarist of toe, one of Japan’s leading post-rock bands. Built on a double mash to give it a fuller body, it layers the depth of cacao with acidity reminiscent of fully ripened fruit, making it a beer aimed at those who want a bold, substantial flavor.

Cans Have Arrived Too

From Teenage Brewing as well, two canned beers have arrived: “SHOHEI Zen IPA” and “Disk Echo.” In addition to enjoying them on tap in the shop, customers now have the option to take them home and drink them slowly there.

NAMACHA'n Stand Kita-Ikebukuro opens at 4:00 p.m. on weekdays, and at 12:00 p.m. on weekends and holidays. It is convenient not only for stopping by after work, but also for days when you want to enjoy craft beer from midday. As a place that frequently refreshes its guest beer selection, it is one to check when there is a label you are curious about.
