Minoh Beer’s peach-infused Weizen arrives at HOP MAN

HOP MAN, a beer pub in Chigasaki, Kanagawa, is now serving Minoh Beer’s Japanese Peach Weizen, Shimizu Hakuto Version.

The beer is based on a Weizen and brewed with a generous amount of Japanese peaches. The peaches come from Hachiki Farm in Wakayama, known for its Arakawa peaches. Fresh fruit harvested on the same day is processed into purée entirely by hand before being used in the brew.

Depending on the harvest season, the beer uses one of four peach varieties: Wase, Hakuhō, Shimizu Hakuto, or Kawakanajima. This release highlights Shimizu Hakuto, whose delicate character complements the naturally fruity aroma of the Weizen. The result is a prominently peachy nose and a bright, floral expression.

Despite the generous fruit addition, the beer is designed without residual sweetness. Its dry, crisp finish makes it suitable for warm weather drinking and easy to pair with food.

The brewery also notes that the aroma and flavor can vary slightly from batch to batch, adding another point of interest for repeat visits. Located on the second floor of Sunraizu Shonan in Chigasaki’s Jukkenzaka area, HOP MAN is a destination for exploring rotating craft beer taps. Availability should be confirmed at the pub before visiting.
