At BINGE, a craft beer specialty shop near Nagoya Station, Himitsu Beer cans have been newly added to the lineup. The post introduced two bottles: KAWAUSO Kiyari and Gyu Gyu Grapefruit IPA. Both are IPAs in the 6% range, and what makes them interesting is how clearly their aroma profiles differ.

KAWAUSO Kiyari is an IPA that uses plenty of noble hops. Its golden appearance is layered with aromas reminiscent of wild grasses, tea leaves, and a forest after rain, along with hints of lemon and other citrus. It is characterized by a clean bitterness and a dry finish, making it the kind of beer that beautifully brings out the umami of malt.

Gyu Gyu Grapefruit IPA is a beer that puts its fruit character front and center. It uses about 50 homegrown grapefruits, with the peel added as a paste and the flesh as juice, and puree and juice are also added during fermentation. The composition combines Galaxy hops' tropical, passion-fruit-like aroma with the juiciness of grapefruit, so a bright citrus profile that lives up to its name can be expected.

BINGE is a beer pub located on the 6th floor of the Kohaku Building in Meieki, and it is a craft beer specialty shop stocked with more than 200 kinds of cans and bottles from Japan and abroad, plus 12 taps. Because you can choose by the bottle or can, it is easy to try the beers that catch your interest little by little. Including the style of pouring canned beer into a glass, it is the kind of place suited to a day when you want to compare beers while checking the differences in aroma and flavor.
