August 16 service
Sakaduki Lab announced that it will open at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 16. That day is the final day of its summer festival week, with nagashi somen on offer. Five dipping broths are listed: goma-scented hiyajiru with grilled mackerel, warm Vietnamese-style beef stock with cilantro, a refreshing bonito stock with pickled plum and steamed chicken, a warm red chicken curry broth with chicken wing drumettes, and a classic bonito broth with pork and chilled shabu-shabu topping.
The post also highlights bottle-served Akashi beer served ice-cold in a bucket-style setup, along with festival-style food. Families are welcome.
IPA festival starts on August 19
From Wednesday, August 19, after the regular closing day, the shop plans to run an "IPA Festival." The lineup includes Stardust in a new-vs-old batch showdown, Twilight with tropical hops and tropical yeast, Hangover! as a Fumino version of Indo no Aooni, after the rain as a Tosa-buntan IPA, and Punk IPA, the flagship beer from BREWDOG. A few reserve picks are also mentioned, suggesting a broad tasting lineup of old and new IPAs.
