At Taru Taru, a beer pub in Kawaramachi, Takamatsu, a guest beer from Kyufuku Brewing Honjima was featured in a July 17 post.

The beer is "066 Setouchi Gose w/ Setoda Lemon", a Gose w/Lemon with 4.5% ABV. According to the brewery's description, it uses Setoda lemons from Makimura Farm on Takanejima, along the Shimanami Kaido route, along with Setouchi sea salt. The result is a sour ale with gentle acidity and a subtle salty edge.

Kyufuku Brewing Honjima is a small brewery run by a husband-and-wife team on Honjima in Marugame, Kagawa. The brewery says it makes each batch with local Setouchi ingredients in mind, and this beer is also bottle-conditioned, with natural carbonation and flavor changes that come with aging.

As a beer pub, Taru Taru is the kind of place where rotating guest beers can be introduced with context, not just as a tap list update. This one looks especially fitting for hot weather: bright lemon aroma, restrained sourness, and a clean salty finish. It should work well on its own or alongside food, and it is also the kind of beer that can be enjoyed now or after some time in the cellar.
