BARCHIE'S KAMAKURA, a beer pub in Kamakura's Onarimachi area, will hold its 3rd anniversary party and a PASSIFIC BREWING tap takeover on Sunday, August 23. In its Instagram post, the bar says the anniversary beer brewed in early July will be poured on the day, and the beer is named "HOLA."

HOLA is a Mexican Lager made with masa, the corn flour also used for tacos, and finished with sudachi for a lime-like brightness. The beer is designed to stay refreshing in the summer heat while still working well with food, which makes it a fitting choice for a beer-and-food-focused anniversary event.

The limited food is a homemade sudachi sausage. Because the sausage and the beer share the same citrus direction, the pairing should feel intentional rather than flashy. That matches BARCHIE'S KAMAKURA's style as a beer pub where drinks and dishes are meant to be enjoyed together.

With PASSIFIC BREWING on tap and HOLA at the center, the August 23 event should offer a clear snapshot of what the bar does best: straightforward beer, thoughtful food, and a setting that welcomes both locals and visitors stopping by Kamakura.
