Hongo Kikuzaka-machi Kamosu is a craft beer brewery and taproom in Hongo, Bunkyo Ward, Tokyo. The official Bunkyo Sokojikara website says it always serves more than five kinds of fresh, unfiltered, house-brewed craft beer. It opened in June 2023 and also began brewing on-site, making it a beer destination in the Hongo area.
In an Instagram post, owner Kota Mishima said, "It has already been three years since we opened 'Kamosu' in Hongo Kikuzaka-machi." He reflected that the time spent making brews, pouring beer, and meeting all kinds of people has gradually shaped the shop.
As a milestone, the shop plans to hold a "3rd Anniversary Event" on May 30. The post does not reveal the details, but for a brewery that has continued operating as part of the local community, it looks set to be a meaningful occasion. With five standard offerings now in place, it is worth paying attention as a chance to once again savor a beer that has grown in the streets of Hongo.
