After School Brewery joins IBREW Shinbashi’s four-day school-themed event
After School Brewery will join IBREW SHINBASHI’s "Daiichi Shinbashi Gakko no Natsu Yasumi" from August 13 to 16. The event brings together school-repurposed breweries from across Japan, with Kikuchi and Andy also scheduled to appear on the evening of August 14.
After School Brewery, based in Ikejiri-Ohashi, Setagaya, will take part in the IBREW SHINBASHI event "Daiichi Shinbashi Gakko no Natsu Yasumi" from August 13 to 16. In the post, the brewery describes the gathering as a lineup of craft beers from breweries created through school renovation projects, bringing a school-themed four-day event to Shinbashi.
The participating breweries are After School Brewery (Tokyo, former middle school staff room), Brasserie Knot (Hokkaido, former elementary school gym), Falo Brewing (Miyagi, former middle school cafeteria), Primary Barrels (Kyoto, former principal's office), Open Air Brewing (Hyogo, former cafeteria), and Sankaku Beer Works (Kagoshima, former elementary school tech room). Together, they offer a cross-section of school-repurposed brewing spaces and the beers they produce.
The event will also feature limited food inspired by school lunches, designed to pair with the beers. According to the post, Kikuchi, the 'principal' of After School Brewery, and Andy, head of the brewing team, are expected to appear at IBREW Shinbashi on the evening of Friday, August 14.
For beer fans interested in both the liquid and the story behind it, this is a compact chance to experience several school-themed breweries in one place.
