Honey Forest Brewing in Minamiosumi Town introduced a new product, "Our Fruits ALE Lemon," to celebrate its 5th anniversary. According to an Instagram post, the beer uses Meyer lemons that have been grown on-site since five years ago. The fruit, finally mature enough to be used as an adjunct, was turned into a commemorative release.

As for the flavor, the brewery says it has a finish that balances the refreshing aroma of lemon, gentle acidity, and the mellow sweetness of honey. While highlighting ingredients that reflect Minamiosumi Town, it is structured so you can imagine a crisp, easy-drinking beer.

The brewery is a small craft beer workshop run by female brewer Yuka Aiba in Minamiosumi Town, Kagoshima Prefecture, the southernmost town on Japan's main islands. On its official website, it offers the fruit beer "Sun Sun ALE," which makes use of fruit from Minamiosumi and domestically produced honey, and it has consistently taken care to translate local ingredients into beer.

This lemon version can also be seen as an extension of that approach. The post lists the Minamiosumi Town shop, the official online store, and Dokkana Market in Kanoya City as sales locations. Including the background that the fruit grown over five years has finally become beer, this is a new product that conveys the brewery's journey.
