15brewery in Hayama, Kanagawa, announced its March 29 tap list on Instagram. One of the lineup items also uses baguettes from Miura Pan-ya Mitsumugi.
The brewery 15brewery (Fifteen Brewery) in Hayama Town, Miura District, Kanagawa Prefecture, has released its tap list for March 29. The shop is currently closed for standing service and is operating only as a fill-by-weight sales counter. Beers are served filled to the brim in sealable bottles, and carbonated plastic bottles and glass bottles with screw caps are also accepted. The brewery also notes that bottle beer is out of stock, and the latest business schedule can be checked on its blog.
Hours for the day are 14:00 - 19:00. The lineup consists of five beers with clearly distinct flavors and aromas.
- Bottom of the Swamp
- A Belgian-style beer. A complex, spicy pour made with plenty of wheat malt, plus orange peel, coriander seed, chamomile, cloves, as well as lime from Owase, Mie Prefecture, and honey from Hachigoya in Nagai, Yokosuka City.
- Stout
- A dark beer. A low-centered flavor profile that emphasizes deep richness and pitch-black color.
- Orange Ale
- A fruit beer. Characterized by the rich aroma and acidity unique to orange.
- Wheat Land
- A wheat-forward beer. A brisk finish made by adding a generous amount of wheat malt to barley malt and aromatizing it with hops that carry a white-wine-like fragrance. It uses baguettes from Miura Pan-ya Mitsumugi as part of the ingredients.
- Raw Hazy IPA
- An IPA. It uses the Raw Ale method, in which the wort is not boiled, allowing you to enjoy hop-derived citrus and pine-needle aromas along with bitterness. This one also uses baguettes from Miura Pan-ya Mitsumugi.
The lineup reflects 15brewery's style, with a strong local feel that highlights ingredients from the neighborhood and connections with nearby businesses, making the Hayama brewery's regional character stand out clearly. This time the announcement is geared more toward taking the beers home than drinking on-site, but each label's individuality comes through clearly. From light wheat styles to aromatic IPAs and spice-forward Belgian-style beers, it is a tap list that offers plenty of fun for comparison tasting.
