Craft Beer Bar & Bottle Shop Progress in Kawasaki’s Nakahara Ward introduced its tap list for April 12. This time, the bar is pouring 7 taps, offering a wide range of expressions, from beers with pronounced hop bitterness to one that lets you enjoy aroma and rich malt depth.

A highlight is two beers from Hoppukotan Brewing. IN THE NAME OF KRUSH is a West Coast Pilsner, while Full Throttle is an American IPA; both are said to be brewed with a strong emphasis on crisp hop bitterness. Next up is FLORA FERMENTATION, with two beers: Lupus -Strata- (Single Hop Pale Ale) and Raven (West Coast IPA). This is a lineup suited to those who want to enjoy bright, expressive aromatics.

Also on tap is Ise Kadoya Beer’s Sencha Hazy IPA. Brewed with sencha green tea, this Hazy IPA combines a smooth mouthfeel with subtle tropical notes, plus the refreshing aroma and bitterness derived from the tea leaves. Black Tide Brewing’s Kesennuma Pride ver. 12.0 is featured as a staple IPA, while TKBrewing’s Onsight ESB makes its first appearance as an ESB. It is said to stand out for its balance of roasted character, malt richness, and hop bitterness.

Progress is open on weekdays from 4 p.m., and from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. In addition to bar service, it also offers takeout of draft beer. The outdoor seating area allows pets, making it a convenient spot for anyone who wants to compare several beers over the weekend. This seven-tap lineup is well suited both for sharing and for choosing one beer to enjoy slowly.
