On April 17, Miyazaki Hideji Beer announced, as part of its 30th anniversary project, that the "30th Anniversary Appreciation Festival" will be held from Friday, July 10 to Sunday, July 13. The venue is the Amu Plaza square in front of Miyazaki Station, with the event scheduled for 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on July 10, 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on the 11th, and 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on the 12th. In addition to about 30 kinds of Hideji draft beer, there will also be gourmet food that pairs well with beer and stage events.

Mugizukura Hideji, the directly managed Nobeoka store, is a beer pub with all private rooms located on the second floor of Haniwa Kaikan. The interior has the quiet feel of a hidden retreat, and the draft lineup consists of six kinds: four regular beers and two limited brews from the brewery. Its strengths are the ability to relax and enjoy multiple glasses while pairing them with signature dishes such as charcoal-grilled Jitokko chicken and chicken nanban, and the pleasure of matching local ingredients with craft beer comes through clearly.

If you want to name a specific beer to drink first, start with the flagship "Taiyo no Lager." Its crisp drinking experience and refreshing bitterness are its core features, making it ideal as a first glass. "Shinkan no Pale Ale," which brings out hop aroma beautifully, is a beer whose food pairings are easy to appreciate. If you want to taste the character of Kyushu-grown ingredients, try "Kyushu CRAFT Hyuganatsu Premium"; if you want a dark beer, "Kurikuro" is a must; and "YAHAZU," sold only through restaurants and bars in Miyazaki, is also worth seeking out.

As a commemorative product for the 30th anniversary year, the "Savoring Time: Aged Barley Wine, Vintage 8-Bottle Set" has also been released. Enjoy the classics at Mugizukura Hideji, and in summer, head to the appreciation festival in front of Miyazaki Station for a large-scale tasting comparison. The flow from everyday drinks at the directly managed store to marking the anniversary milestone at the event is becoming clear.
